Behind the Scenes: The Rig

Meet Turtle. My home and my office while covering salmon migration from the ocean to Idaho. The nickname ‘Turtle’ has nothing to do with speed and everything to do with the house on my back.

Turtle, a combination of Toyota and Four Wheel Campers, is on display at Teton Toyota in Idaho Falls, Idaho through the end of July. Check out the salmon wrap while you’re there. The fish print glows a rainbow hue in the sun.  

And psst. The truck is actually silver, but you’d never know it with that matte black wrap. Here’s a look at my rig inside and out.
